HOW WE WORK

From initial instructions to the research report

We agree the research, fees and reporting arrangements with you before work begins. Progress updates allow you to decide how the matter should proceed.

01

Outline the assignment

Describe the matter, the research needed and the references available. A short initial description is sufficient; confidential documents will be requested through an agreed channel.

02

Assess feasibility

We review the information, the applicant’s capacity, necessary authority and potential sources. Initial uncertainties and foreseeable limitations are explained.

03

Agree scope and fees

You receive a written proposal covering the enquiries, records or information sought, reporting arrangements and fees. Official charges and third-party expenses are listed separately. No paid work begins without your agreement, and research may proceed in stages.

04

Carry out the enquiries

Requests and enquiries are made through the identified services and contacts. Responses and references are recorded. New leads or difficulties may require a revised scope, to be agreed with the instructing professional.

05

Keep you informed

Guillaume Prom Thiounn handles your enquiries and progress updates, working with Chhanita Prom Thiounn on coordination in Cambodia. Reporting intervals reflect the agreed assignment and research stages.

06

Deliver the research file

You receive available documents, source references and a report of the work undertaken. Documented findings, points requiring verification and unsuccessful searches are clearly distinguished. You decide the next steps in the matter.

Timing and outcomes

We assess likely timing against the proposed enquiries and review it as responses arrive. Record preservation and access conditions may limit what can be found. We explain these difficulties and report the work completed, including searches that do not produce a result.
