Gathering records for a transaction
Preparing a transaction or reviewing a business relationship may require records concerning a Cambodian company. We research registry documents and copies of existing authorisations requested by the business, its adviser or its partner.
How we identify the relevant sources
Using the company name, registration number and description of the records required, we identify the relevant registries and services. We request accessible documents and report their references, sources and consultation dates.
The records and research report you receive
The proposal sets out the expected deliverables. You receive any copies obtained, their source references and a report of the enquiries undertaken, including unsuccessful searches. Copy formats and any dispatch of originals are agreed in advance.
Scope of the assignment
The service concerns documentary research. Unless separately agreed, it does not include company incorporation, obtaining a new licence, a legal audit or an exhaustive review of a company’s position.
Presenting records abroad
Translation, certification and legalisation are not automatically included. Requirements of the receiving authority are considered before these additional steps are proposed. Availability and release remain subject to applicable rules and record holders’ decisions.
